The Under Presents Review

The Under Presents, the latest game on Oculus Quest, is a unique little puzzle game wrapped in an odd premise. It’s not often you see games where you control multiple characters at once, especially when they’re all inside of one another. You’ll need to guide each character through their respective area inside of each other to deliver the final product to the door at the end.

The main selling point for me was how different it felt compared to most other games on Quest. The puzzles are enjoyable and easy enough to be completed within minutes but difficult enough that you may find yourself replaying them more than once. If anything could be improved, it would be adding more levels since I completed every level in just under 30 minutes.

The graphics are about what you’d expect from a Quest game. Not especially detailed, but fitting enough for such a simple puzzle/platformer (would be nice to see more variety). The music is okay – it feels like it fits the mood well at first but starts to feel repetitive later on in the levels. Same thing with the sound effects: nothing too fancy and they don’t overstay their welcome.

If you’re looking for some quick, painless fun on Quest like I was (I wanted to play some Marvel Pinball) then The Under Presents is worth checking out. Besides, this game also has the biggest variety of characters I’ve seen since Kingdom Hearts III!

★★★☆☆ 3/5

The Under Presents is available for $4.99 on the Oculus Quest store.
