Gun Club VR Review

The Oculus Quest came out on May 21st, 2019 and has been a consumer’s dream for VR. Its high-resolution display brings many games to life, such as Gun Club VR.

The best part of the game is the amazing gun selection. The pistol is relatively average but can be helpful in close range battles. Rifles are extremely powerful, but have a slight delay between shots. Shotguns are all-around decent weapons capable of taking down enemies quickly. Sniper rifles have an incredible amount of power and range but aren’t very good for close-quarters combat or mid-range confrontations.

I wish there was more content in the game. There are only 3 modes: quickplay, a campaign mode, and a multiplayer mode that takes place on a small map. This doesn’t give the player much reason to keep playing after they have unlocked all the weapons.

The campaign mode is alright, but it’s really short and doesn’t have that much variety.

The multiplayer is very limited. There are only 2 modes to choose from, team deathmatch or free for all, and they both take place on the same map. It would be better if there were more maps available to play on.

Also, the player should move around while looking through the scope of a sniper rifle. It kills immersion when you shut off your gun’s laser sight while sniping, look through the scope, and it looks like you are miles away from your target.

The game does have great graphics for being on an untethered VR headset. The sound design is pretty good too.

Whether or not the game is worth it all depends on how much you like shooting games, what type of person you are, and how much money you’re willing to spend. If you like sniping games then definitely pick up Gun Club VR. You can find it on Steam for $19.99. However, if
