Cave Digger Review

Cave Digger is a voxel-based cave exploration game where the player must dig out their own path with a pickaxe to uncover precious minerals and gems. Once enough resources have been collected, players can craft unique items in order to power through tough obstacles. The procedural world generation ensures that every playthrough is unique. The game also offers an infinite amount of randomly generated worlds for players to enjoy.

Creativity: 4/5

There isn’t much in terms of uniqueness when compared to other games like Minecraft, but Cave Digger makes up for it with its own unique concept. The procedurally generated worlds are also a huge plus because that means no two playthroughs will ever be the same!

Polish: 5/5

There aren’t any bugs or glitches to be found in Cave Digger, and I never encountered anything game-breaking either. Overall, the game feels very well polished.

Graphics: 4/5

The graphics won’t blow you away, but they’re still pretty good all things considered. There’s even an option to turn off graphical features like voxels if players don’t want them!

Sound: 4/5

The soundtrack is surprisingly good for Cave Digger; there isn’t much variety in regards to music, but it’s still very catchy. Sound effects are also nice, but there could be some work done in that department for future updates!

Entertainment: 4/5

Cave Digger is easily one of the more entertaining games I’ve played on the Google Play Store. It’s addicting, immersive, and it has hours worth of content to enjoy.

Replayability: 5/5

The procedurally generated worlds ensure that no playthrough will ever be the same, which means that players will find themselves coming back often for more! Plus there are different upgrade paths to explore if you’re looking for an even greater challenge.

Total Score: 23/25 (92%)

Cave Digger is a great game with hours of content to enjoy. While it doesn’t have many unique features when compared to other voxel-based games, the procedurally generated worlds certainly help make up for it! Overall, I’d highly recommend Cave Digger if you’re looking for a game with hours worth of content that’s sure to keep you entertained.
